What does a render cost?

Portrait generation is 1 credit per fan. Model creation is 4 credits. E-commerce product shots are 4 credits per frame. Editorial campaign frames are 4 credits per frame. All at the default credit price (~US$0.50/credit). Sub-threshold renders auto-refund the credit, so realised cost only counts renders that pass the quality judge.

How much does an 8K upscale cost?

3 credits per upscale to ~33MP (8K long edge), print-ready resolution. Upscale is its own action, separate from the render itself, so you only pay for it on the results you actually want at print resolution.

A credit is the unit of account inside NotShot. Credits are purchased in USD via Stripe. The credit price is decoupled from underlying vendor cost volatility, so the per-action price you see today is what you'll pay tomorrow.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. New tenants receive 50 trial credits at signup — about 50 free portrait generations, no card required. Referrals add a further 50 credits to both the referrer and the referee.

Monthly subscription credits reset at each renewal, so use them within the billing period. Credit packs you buy separately never expire and stay in your account until you spend them.

Is there a monthly subscription minimum?

No. NotShot is pre-paid credits — no monthly subscription minimum, no per-seat charges, no annual commitments. Pay per credit pack; spend per shipped render.

What happens if a render fails the quality judge?

Sub-threshold output is automatically retried once with a different seed. If the retry also fails, the credit is automatically refunded and the job transitions to a failed state with a structured reason. You never pay for output that doesn't ship.

Can my team share a credit pool?

Yes. Credits are scoped to your tenant, not to individual users. Invite team members via the in-app invite flow; everyone shares the same pool.

Is there an agency / multi-client plan?

Yes. Agencies operate as a single tenant with separate clients; each client carries its own credit ledger and shoot history. Pricing per credit stays consistent; volume packs are available for agencies running multiple brand clients.
