Claid vs NotShot at a glance

Claid.ai is a broad image workspace: background removal, image enhancement and on-model generation, with fashion as one use case among several. NotShot does one thing: on-model fashion catalog renders at 4K, each one checked by an automatic quality judge. If you need a single tool for all product images, Claid covers more ground. If you need fashion renders you can trust without checking every frame by hand, NotShot is the closer fit.

NotShot vs Claid pricing breakdown

The two tools price on different units, which makes a headline comparison misleading. Claid sells monthly plans and credits. Its AI Fashion tool uses 4 credits per generation, and its API uses 2 credits per on-model image. Paid plans export up to 2K, with 4K only on the highest plan. A free tier gives 50 credits plus 50 API credits. Claid's paid plan prices are shown only through JavaScript on its site and could not be verified, so we do not quote a dollar price per image.

NotShot charges 4 credits for every 4K on-model frame. There is no lower-resolution tier, so the credit cost never changes with resolution. What you pay per credit depends on how you buy:

How you buyPrice per creditPrice per 4K frame

Pricing scenarios: 50, 200 and 1,000 images a month

The table below uses only list prices. NotShot assumes one 4K frame per image with no refine passes. Claid is left out because its paid plan prices are shown only through JavaScript on its site and could not be verified.

How to read it

Model creation: stock library vs brand-owned models

Claid gives you a library of pre-built AI models. That is quick: you pick a face and start. The trade-off is that other brands can pick the same face.

NotShot has no stock gallery. You either upload a model photo you have the rights to, or generate a brand-owned AI model once (a 1-credit portrait, then a 3-credit 4K bake) and reuse it. The judge checks that the same person appears in every render, so a 200-SKU catalog reads as one shoot. More on this in consistent AI models and uploading your own model.

Claid vs NotShot: frequently asked questions

NotShot vs Claid.ai: what's the difference?

Same comparison, either way round. NotShot vs Claid.ai comes down to scope (fashion-only on-model renders on NotShot vs. a broader general product-photography toolkit on Claid), model source (your own brand-owned model, AI-generated or from your photo, on NotShot vs. Claid's stock-model library), and quality control (an automatic per-category judge with auto-refund on NotShot vs. manual review on Claid). See the comparison table above for the full breakdown.

Is Claid.ai cheaper than NotShot?

Claid's AI Fashion tool uses 4 credits per generation and its API 2 credits per on-model image, but Claid's paid plan prices could not be verified, so we cannot give a fair dollar comparison. Claid's paid plans export up to 2K, with 4K only on the highest plan. Every NotShot frame is 4K at 4 credits ($0.80 to $2.00 depending on pack), and renders the judge rejects are refunded.

How much does Claid cost per image?

Claid's paid plan prices are shown only through JavaScript on its site and could not be verified, so we do not quote a price per image. Its AI Fashion tool uses 4 credits per generation, and its API 2 credits per on-model image. A free tier gives 50 credits plus 50 API credits. Check Claid's pricing page before you budget.

How much does NotShot cost per image?

A 4K on-model frame costs 4 credits. That is $2.00 at the pay-as-you-go Starter rate, $1.16 on the $29 bundle, $0.99 on the $99 bundle and $0.80 on the $299 bundle. There is no monthly minimum.

Does NotShot replace Claid.ai?

NotShot is an alternative for the fashion on-model surface, not the broader product-photography toolkit. If your workflow includes general product photos alongside fashion, Claid covers more surface area. If your workflow centres on fashion catalog imagery with per-category quality control and a designer iteration loop, NotShot is the closer fit.

Can NotShot use my own model photos?

Yes. Upload any model photo you have the rights to and the output keeps that identity. You can also generate a brand-owned AI model in NotShot and reuse it across every shot. There is no stock library like Claid's; you build your own models instead.

Does NotShot do general product photography (non-fashion)?

No. NotShot is fashion-pure: on-model catalog renders. Claid's broader product-photo features are real strengths if you want one tool for fashion + non-fashion product imagery.

Does NotShot have an API like Claid?

No. NotShot has no public API today. It is a hosted webapp: you upload garments and model assets, then download the finished renders. Claid is API-first.

How does the quality judge work?

Every render produced by NotShot is scored against a per-category quality rubric. Renders below the per-category threshold auto-refund the credit, so you only pay for renders that pass. The judge's per-category thresholds are derived from labs-validated sweeps and updated as the rubrics evolve.

What are composable passes?

After NotShot generates a render you like, you can apply post-render passes to that picked image WITHOUT re-running the base render. Light passes change the lighting style (around ⚡4 credits each), Texture passes sharpen fabric detail (around ⚡2), Pose passes rotate the model's body or change expression (around ⚡5).

Which is better at 4K?

Both can ship 4K. Claid's paid plans export up to 2K, with 4K only on the highest plan; NotShot renders every frame at 4K for a flat ⚡4.

Can I try both for free?

Yes. Both Claid and NotShot give 50 free credits at signup. On NotShot that covers about 12 renders at 4 credits each.

New tenants get 50 free credits — about 12 free renders at the default credit cost.
