NotShot

A 4K catalog image uses 4 credits.

Plans and prices are on the pricing page.

Subscription credits refill each period and do not roll over; you can cancel anytime. Other actions: an 8K upscale is 3 credits, creating an AI model 4, a portrait 1 and an editorial frame 4. Re-light, texture and re-pose passes also use credits. Renders that fail the judge after a retry are refunded. Details in NotShot credit cost, explained.

That judge is the main reason the price of a NotShot render is a price for a usable image: every frame is scored against a rubric for its garment category before you see it, and a render that still fails after one retry costs nothing. How the check works: the AI judge and auto-refund. Current plans: the NotShot pricing page.

What the numbers say

Credit rollover: how it changes the math

Price per image only tells half the story. What matters is how many of the credits you pay for turn into images you publish.

If your volume is steady, compare per-image prices. If it swings a lot from month to month, Botika's rollover can be worth more than a lower list price.

How to run a fair test of Botika and NotShot

Both tools let you start without a card, so the cheapest way to decide is a side-by-side test on your own products.

  1. Pick five to ten SKUs that are hard to get right: fine knits, prints, sheer fabrics, logos and anything with a precise fit.
  2. Use the same garment photos in both tools.
  3. Compare the results at full size, not as thumbnails. Check stitching, print alignment, color and how the garment drapes.
  4. Count only the images you would publish, then divide what you paid by that number.
  5. Check whether the model looks like the same person across products, if that matters for your catalog.

New NotShot accounts get 50 free credits, enough for around 10 renders. Botika's free trial needs no card, but its pricing page does not say how many credits it includes.

Where NotShot leads

Specific capabilities that differ from Botika.

NotShot limitations: being honest

Newer entrant. Smaller installed base and customer-reference list than Botika today.

No stock model gallery. You create a brand-owned AI model or upload a model photo you have the rights to. If your workflow depends on picking from a library, Botika fits better.

No 2K tier. Every frame is 4K, so if 2K is enough, Botika Pro may suit you better.

No rollover on subscriptions. NotShot subscription credits refill each period and do not carry over, while Botika credits roll over while you stay subscribed.

No video, no public API, no Shopify app. If you need any of these today, Botika covers video and Shopify.

How a NotShot shoot works, step by step

We don't have public case studies yet, so here is the actual workflow and what each step costs.

  1. Sign up. You get 50 free credits, around 10 renders, with no card required.
  2. Set up your model. Upload a model photo you have the rights to, or create a brand-owned AI model (4 credits, plus 1 for a portrait). You do this once and reuse the model.
  3. Upload your garments. Flat-lays or product shots, up to 8 garments in one look.
  4. Render. A 4K on-model frame costs 4 credits.
  5. The judge checks every render against the rubric for that garment category. A failed render is retried once and then refunded automatically, no ticket needed.
  6. Refine the one you pick with re-light, texture or re-pose passes, which use credits.

Botika vs NotShot: frequently asked questions

NotShot vs Botika: what's the difference?

Botika sells monthly and yearly credit plans with a library of 150+ AI models, 2K output on Pro and 4K on Advanced, video, and Shopify and iOS apps. NotShot renders every catalog frame in 4K with a brand-owned model or your own model photo, checks every render with an AI judge, and sells subscriptions or pay-as-you-go credits.

Is Botika cheaper than NotShot?

At 2K, Botika Pro costs $0.83 to $1.10 per photo, and NotShot has no 2K tier. Every NotShot frame is 4K at 4 credits, so compare it with Botika Advanced at $0.93 to $1.20 using the plans on the NotShot pricing page.

How much does Botika cost per image?

On 31 October 2026 Botika's pricing page listed Pro (2K) from $55 a month for 50 credits and Advanced (4K) from $120 a month for 100 credits, with yearly plans from $550. One credit is one photo, so that works out to $0.83 to $1.20 per photo. A video uses 5 credits.

Do Botika credits roll over?

Yes. Botika's pricing page says unused credits roll over without limit while you stay subscribed, and are lost when you cancel. NotShot subscription credits refill each period and do not roll over.

Does NotShot replace Botika?

For on-model catalog photos, it can. NotShot has no stock model gallery, no video and no Shopify app, so if you rely on those, Botika or a mix of both fits better.

Can NotShot use my own model photos?

Yes. Upload a photo of a model you have the rights to, or create a brand-owned AI model once and reuse the same identity on every product.

Is there a free Botika alternative?

Yes, NotShot is one option. New accounts get free credits with no card, so you can test your own garments before choosing a plan, and every render is checked by the AI judge and auto-refund, so failed renders do not use up the free credits. Plans after that are on the NotShot pricing page. For more options, see our Botika alternatives guide.

How does the quality judge work?

Every NotShot render is scored by an AI judge against a rubric for the garment category. A failed render is retried once with a new seed, and if it fails again the credits are refunded automatically.

What are composable passes?

After you pick a render you can re-light it, tune texture detail or re-pose it as separate passes instead of starting a new render. Each pass uses credits.

What resolution do Botika and NotShot output?

Botika outputs 2K on Pro and 4K on Advanced. NotShot outputs 4K on every catalog frame, with an 8K upscale (about 33 megapixels) for 3 credits.

Does NotShot integrate with Shopify?

Not directly. You export the files and upload them to Shopify. Botika has a Shopify app and an iOS app.

Which is better for brands publishing hundreds of new SKUs a month?

If 2K is enough and you want a stock model library, Botika Pro fits. If you need 4K and one consistent model, NotShot renders every frame at 4K with the same model.

Can I try NotShot for free?

Yes. New accounts get 50 free credits, around 10 renders, with no card required. Botika also offers a free trial with no card required, but its pricing page does not state how many credits it includes.

NotShot or Botika: how do they compare?

Choose Botika for rollover credits, a large model library, video, apps and the cheapest 2K images. Choose NotShot for 4K on every frame, one consistent model across the catalog and paying only for renders that pass the judge.
